Data Deletion
How to ask cozee to delete data about you or your business, what we delete, and what may remain afterward.
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This page explains how to ask Cozee to delete data about you or your business, what we delete, and what may remain afterward. It applies to the Cozee app, Cozee websites, and data we receive from services you connect to Cozee.
How to request deletion
Delete data from a connected service in the app
If you use Cozee, you can delete data from many connected services yourself. In the Cozee app, go to Locations, select a location, and open Integrations. For step-by-step instructions for Facebook and Instagram, see Facebook and Instagram data.
Email us
For anything you can’t delete in the app, email support@getcozee.ai with the subject “Data deletion request”. This includes deleting your whole account, data from our websites, or data from a service you can no longer access. Please include:
- the email address you use with Cozee, or the one you gave us (for example, on a website form)
- your business and location name, if you have them
- which service or data the request covers (for example, “Facebook data for our Main Street location” or “my whole account”)
- what you want deleted
Never send us passwords, access tokens, or other login details.
Verification
Before we act on a request, we may need to confirm that you are the person the data is about or that you are authorized to act for the account or business. If we can’t verify a request, we will tell you what we need.
What gets deleted
When we complete a request, we delete the data it covers from Cozee’s active systems. We will confirm when your request is complete. Depending on what you ask for, this can include:
- Connected service data: content and metrics we collected through the connection, and the credentials we use to access that service. Deleting this also stops future collection.
- Account data: your Cozee user profile and the information linked to it.
- Website data: information you sent us through our websites, such as contact or demo request forms.
Deleting data in Cozee doesn’t delete anything stored by the other service. Your posts, pages, and accounts on those platforms stay there until you remove them yourself.
What may remain
Some copies aren’t removed automatically when you delete data from a connection or account:
- Assistant conversations and exports: information that was already saved in Assistant conversations, or included in files someone downloaded or exported. If you want these removed too, say so in your request so we can review them.
- Backups: data in backups is removed as the backups expire through our normal backup cycle. It is not restored to active use in the meantime.
- Records we must keep: information we need to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect against fraud and abuse.
- De-identified data: aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies you or your business.
- Shared business accounts: if your business account has other users, data that belongs to the business may stay available to its authorized users after one person’s access ends.
If we can’t delete something you asked about, we will explain why.
Facebook and Instagram data
You can delete the Facebook and Instagram data Cozee collected through a connection yourself in the app, or email us to ask for help. Deleting this data in Cozee doesn’t delete your Facebook Page, your Instagram account, or any of their posts.
Delete your connected data in Cozee
- Sign in to Cozee with an account that is authorized to manage the connected location.
- Open Locations, select the location, and open Integrations.
- Find the Facebook and Instagram connection card for the Facebook Page.
- Select Delete data, then Confirm deletion.
- The connection shows Deleting data… while we process the request, then Data deleted when it’s complete.
If you can’t see these controls, or no longer have access to Cozee, email us.
What this deletes
Deleting stops collection for the selected connection. It also removes the saved posts, captions, links, and metrics Cozee collected from Cozee’s connected social data. The stored connection credentials are removed in the background.
Stop sync and Delete data are different. Stop sync stops future collection but keeps the history already collected. Use Delete data if you want that data removed.
Remove Cozee’s access in Facebook
You can also remove Cozee’s access from your Facebook settings under Business integrations. This prevents Cozee from collecting new data. It doesn’t delete data Cozee already collected, so use Delete data in Cozee or email us as well.
Request help by email
Email support@getcozee.ai with the subject “Facebook data deletion request”. Please include:
- the email address you use with Cozee
- your business and location name
- the Facebook Page name or public Page link, and the Instagram account name if one is connected
- what you want deleted
Never send us passwords, access tokens, or other login details. We may need to verify that you are authorized to request deletion for the account or business.
What may remain
Deleting a social connection doesn’t remove copies already saved in Assistant conversations, exported files, or backups. If you want those removed too, list them in your email. We will review the request and explain any limits on what we can remove. See What may remain for more.
